As the company promised during the smartphone launch, Videocon’s first Android tablet has landed in the Indian market. Available now at two online retailers Snapdeal and Homeshop18, the tablet comes with a 10.1-inch display and carries VT10 moniker. Company has priced it at INR 11,200.
Videocon VT800 has quite some firsts for a budget tablet. It sports a decent 1280x800p resolution display, which is normally not the case with other cheap tablets. It is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, unlike Mediatek or Rockchip processor in its counterparts.
Other specs of the tablet include Android 4.1, 1GB RAM, 2MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, and 6800 mAh battery. On the connectivity front, there is Wi-Fi and 3G dongle support.
Videocon, which was absent from both smartphone and tablet market for the last two years and has made a decent re-entry with good and value-for-money smartphones and a nice tablet. We hope company continues the same in the next year.
