Micromax A101 with 1GHz dual-core processor now available at a attractive price or Rs. 9999

Micromax A101, an upgraded version of the Micromax A100 is now available in India from online retailers Snapdeal and Flipkart. Even though the Micromax A110 that was officially launched last month has better specifications, the A101 comes with almost similar features as the A100 but has a slightly improved 2100 mAh battery. It comes with a 5-inch (480 x 800 pixels) WVGA display instead of a FWGA display on the A100 and the A100 and also comes with four capactive touch buttons at the bottom.

iBerry Auxus CoreX2 and Auxus CoreX4 (quad core) tablets announced


iBerry will soon launch the Auxus CoreX2 – dual core tablet with 3G support and the Auxus CoreX4 a quad core tablet with built in 3G. The 7 inch Auxus CoreX2 is priced at Rs. 10,990 and the 9.7 inch Auxus CoreX4 at Rs. 15,990.
Dual core tablets are already available in the market, but this one is with built in 3G support. The quad core tablet is something new and with 3G is like icing on the cake. iBerry ‘s 3G tab did not do well and they were out of action for quite some time. With the new tablets they are back with a bang, I just hope the tablets really do well, this time.

Videocon VT10 10.1 inch tablet with dual core processor available for Rs. 11200


After launching the Videocon A20 and dual core A30 handsets, Videocon has now launched the Videocon VT10 a 10.1 inch dual core tablet for a price of Rs. 11,200. The tab is available onHomeshop18.
The Videocon VT10 is powered by 1.5 Ghz Dual Core Qualcomm Processor as mentioned on the Videocon mobiles website, but saholic says its RK3066. The VT10 weighs 650 grams with 10.3 mm thickness.
The dual core VT10 sports a 10.1 inch IPS capacitive touchscreen with 1280×800 pixels resolution. It comes with 2 camera of 2MP resolution one placed in the front and other at the rear. The tab does not come with built in SIM slot, GPS and Bluetooth.
This tablet is loaded with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage. You can connect a supported 3G dongle for net connectivity or use built in Wi-Fi. The tab gets power from a 6800 mAh Li-po battery that gives a usage time of about 4 hours.
For the price this does look like a good buy, big screen, powered by dual core CPU.

Karbonn Velox Tab 8 inch dual core for Rs. 7025 listed on Saholic


Karbonn mobiles have launched an 8 inch dual core tablet called Karbonn Velox Tab 8 that comes for a price tag of Rs. 7025. The tab is now available on Saholic.
The tab features and price makes it the best buy. For now there are very few dual core tablets available in the market. For example the 7 inch Wammy Desire is priced at Rs. 7,448 with shipping and the Velox Tab 8 you get it for approx Rs. 7000 that too with an 8 inch screen.
The Karbonn Velox Tab 8 is powered by a Dual core Cortex A9 processor clocked at 1.5GHz with dual core GPU. It comes with 1GB RAM and approx 1.5 GB storage (not sure if it’s free or total storage space). The tab comes with dual cameras a 3 MP placed on the rear and a VGA on the front.
Velox Tab 8 runs on the Android Jelly Bean version 4.1 OS. The TFT LCD capacitive touchscreen display is 8 inches with 1024×768 pixels resolution. The tab supports fullHD 1080P videos. Other features are Wi-Fi, external 3G dongle supported. There is no Bluetooth and GPS.
Price and feature wise this definitely looks like a good buy. Also note that iBerry is coming up with Auxus CoreX2 and Auxus Core X4 (dual core and quad core tablets with built in 3G SIM slot), that will be available within few weeks.

Byond Phablet PIII smartphone with 6-inch display, Android 4.1 launched for Rs. 14499



Byond Tech, popular for the Mi-Book series of tablets has launched Phablet III, an Android smartphone with a 6-inch FWVGA (854 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display and 1GHz dual-core processor. It comes with dual SIM (GSM + GSM) support with dual Standby and runs on Android 4.1.1 (Jelly Bean). It comes with a 8MP rear camera wih LED flash and a VGA front-facing camera. Even though it has a large screen like a table, it has functions of a smartphone, but there are no details about the RAM and internal memory yet. Karbonn launched the A30, an Android Smartphone with a 5.9-inch screen recently.

Videocon VT10 tablet now available in India for INR 11,200


As the company promised during the smartphone launch, Videocon’s first Android tablet has landed in the Indian market. Available now at two online retailers Snapdeal and Homeshop18, the tablet comes with a 10.1-inch display and carries VT10 moniker. Company has priced it at INR 11,200.
Videocon VT800 has quite some firsts for a budget tablet. It sports a decent 1280x800p resolution display, which is normally not the case with other cheap tablets. It is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, unlike Mediatek or Rockchip processor in its counterparts.vt10 Videocon VT10 tablet now available in India for INR 11,200
Other specs of the tablet include Android 4.1, 1GB RAM, 2MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, and 6800 mAh battery. On the connectivity front, there is Wi-Fi and 3G dongle support.
Videocon, which was absent from both smartphone and tablet market for the last two years and has made a decent re-entry with good and value-for-money smartphones and a nice tablet. We hope company continues the same in the next year.

Videocon A20 and A30 model launched for under Rs. 7500


Videocon has now launched the Videocon A20 a uni  core android powered handset for a price tag of Rs. 5,000 and a dual core android handset for Rs. 8,000. Both the handsets come powered by a QUALCOMM processor clocked at 1GHz.
As mentioned the Videocon A20 is with asingle core QUALCOMM processor @ 1GHz with  less than 512 MBRAM running on a relatively old OS – the Gingerbread (Android 2.3). The screen is 3.5 inches with 480×320 pixels resolution.
The Videocon A30 on the other hand comes with dual core Qualcomm processor @ 1GHz with 4 inch capacitive touchscreen with resolution 800×480 pixels. The A30 comes with 512MB RAM and runs on the ICS OS.
The A20 model does not seem that attractive considering the price tag and the older gingerbread OS, the Karbonn A15 is a better option that the Videocon A20. However when it comes to the A30 model from Videocon its dual core for a price Rs. 8,000 – a good balance between the hardware and the price, definitely a good buy.
