Lava Xolo A500 with dual core Qualcomm Krait processor for Rs. 6999

Lava Xolo A500 now listed on flipkart with 1GHz dual core Krait processor with Adreno 203 GPU for Rs. 6,999. The handset is with a 4 inch screen with 800×480 pixels resolution.

Lava Xolo A700 and Xolo A800 dual core handsets are already available in the market for approx Rs. 9,500 and 11,000. Buy launching the Xolo A500 Lava has bought another dual core handset well within the reach for low budget conscious users with a price of under Rs. 7,000.

The Xolo A500 specs are really great as per the price tag. The handset sports a 4.0 inch TFT capacitive touchscreen with WVGA resolution. Dual SIM with dual standby mode is supported. As mentioned the phone is powered by Qualcomm Krait Dual core processor with 1GHz power coupled with Adreno 203 GPU. The A500 supports HD gaming.

There are two cameras a front 0.3MP for video chat and rear 5MP with flash support. I am not sure yet if the handset can record videos in 720p resolution – technically it should. This Xolo model weighs 122 grams with 11.8 mm thickness.

Now coming to the memory and storage part this handset houses 512MB RAM and 4 GB internal storage with micro SD support. Other features included are 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, 3.5 mm jack and micro USB port. The A500 model also comes with 3D sound enhancements.

For a price of Rs. 6,999 this clearly competes with the Celkon A200 and the Videocon A30.
